cancellation Policy

We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all of our clients, We have adopted the following policies:

  • 24 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment.

  • If you are unable to give your therapist 24 hrs of advance notice you may be charged 100% for your missed appointment.

  • No-shows Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment with no contact, will be considered a “no-show”. They will be charged the full amount for their “missed” appointment and future service will be denied until payment is made.

  • Arriving late Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you. If you arrive late your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session, however we will do our best to satisfy the scheduled time.

Sessions are by appointment only. Appointments may be scheduled online, however, the therapist will call to confirm at which time a CC will be needed to hold your requested appointment time. Appointments cannot be confirmed if a CC is not given and your appointment will not be finalized.

Knot Work reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Any conduct (verbal or non-verbal) that is deemed inappropriate, will result in the session being terminated and the full appointment amount will be charged to the client.

FAQ

  • Do you offer pre/post-natal massage?
            No, not at this time.

  • What types of payment are accepted at Knot Work?             You may pay with any of the following: Credit Card, Venmo, CashAp, PayPal and of course Cash.

  • What kind of oil is used during the massage?                      At Knot Work, coconut oil is typically used. However if you are sensitive or allergic to coconut, there are other options. Just be sure to mention it on your intake form.

  • How much clothing may I leave on during my massage?      As the client, your comfort is top priority. You may leave on as much as you wish.

  • Will I be covered during the massage?                                 Yes. The only part of you that is uncovered is the part the therapist is currently working on.

  • Do you offer "undraped" massage?                                    No. North Carolina law dictates that the client is draped for their massage. Click here  forthe complete statute.

  • Do people take off all of their clothing for their massage?  Some people do and it completely up to you. Due to the medical draping that is utilized during every massage, the only part of you that is exposed it the part of the body that is being worked on. The rest of you is fully covered.

  • Do I need to tell my therapist about previous medical history (injuries/surgeries etc.) if I am only receiving a swedish/relaxation massage?                                              Yes! Oftentimes the therapist will incorporate movement of the body even with Swedish massage. In order to ensure that no discomfort or injury is caused, it is imperative that you inform the therapist of any conditions that may be affected.

  • What if I want more that one style of massage in my session?                                                                                That is totally fine. The therapist will talk to you prior to your massage to ensure that they understand exactly what you are expecting. Do keep in mind that time plays a role in how much is achieved in each individual session.

  • Why does the therapist keep asking me about the pressure?     Everyone's pressure tolerance is different and may even differ between body parts. To make sure that your comfort is maintained throughout your massage, the therapist will check in. However, if at any time you want the pressure to change, all you need do is inform the therapist. They will adjust the pressure until you are comfortable.
